This quote is directed to all of those people who think they have to make things more complicated to show off their intellect. I’ve always had great appreciation for someone who can untangle a complex topic and explain it in a way that is accessible to everyone. If I take the quote a bit out of context and look at it in a different light, it resonates with me and how I am viewing this month’s focus on improving my thinking. Many times I get excited about an idea but just can’t seem to get others to share my enthusiasm. I haven’t put in the time to fully explore and refine my ideas. The truth is that I don’t fully understand my own plan and so there is no way to explain it to others. Many times I am not clear on my goals and can’t even explain them to myself. There are multiple levels of application for this quote. How can you apply it to a situation or situations in your life?
If you can’t explain it SIMPLY, then you don’t understand it well enough. -Albert Einstein
